U Tuzlanskom kantonu nedjelja proglašena Danom žalosti

U nedjelju, 25. maja, na području Tuzlanskog kantona biće obilježen Dan žalosti povodom 30. godišnjice zločina na tuzlanskoj Kapiji, kada je 1995. godine stradalo 71 mladih života, a više od 200 osoba bilo ranjeno. Dan žalosti proglašen je u znak sjećanja na civilne žrtve rata u Tuzli i Bosni i Hercegovini.

Općinsko vijeće Tuzla još 2003. godine donijelo je odluku o komemorativnom obilježavanju 25. maja, dok je Vlada Tuzlanskog kantona 2016. godine proširila tu odluku na cijeli kanton, proglasivši 25. maj Danom žalosti.

Prema toj odluci, svi organi i institucije obavezni su istaknuti zastave na pola koplja. Također, mediji, organizatori javnih događaja, ugostitelji i druge organizacije dužni su svoje aktivnosti prilagoditi obilježavanju ovog dana.

Za građane Tuzle, ovaj datum je simbol bola i sjećanja na nevine žrtve. Komemoracija na Kapiji već tri decenije predstavlja čin kolektivnog pamćenja i otpora zaboravu, a njeguje se kroz dostojanstveno obilježavanje, prenošenje istine i izražavanje poštovanja prema nastradalima.
